Ivan recently did a very interesting remake of “At My Window”, which is a song I presented at the 2nd Songcraft session in May. See this post for the details.
It rocks I tell you, haha!
You can also download the clip from this archive.org link.
For even an more in-depth description to how the collaboration came about, and how the song was made, check out this post from Ivan’s “My Right Brain” blog.
Ivan’s interest in this song was apparent since the day I presented it, as he offered to not only sing seconds after I presented, but also presented his own solo version at the end of that session in May. I’m not really sure that my song is that good, but his interest in the song is definitely extremely encouraging!
I like the tambourine backing. And check out the guitar solo after the third verse man! That’s an excellent touch. And the harmonies sound great too.
I really need to learn how Ivan does all these cool recording tricks. The songs sound like magic in his hands.
(P.S. You can hear the original version of “At My Window” here.)
Thanks for the kind words, Jeremy. I’d be happy to share how I recorded and edited it. BTW, my friend said the song (your version) was already nice in the first place :)
