The Songcraft Songwriting Circle has a new home!
For this month’s Songcraft session, we will be moving to the Young Musicians’ Society Arts Centre (54 Waterloo Street). It is located next to the Singapore Arts Museum, and is a short walk away from CHIJMES, which is in turn a short walk away from City Hall MRT station.
See (here) and (here) for directions to the YMS Arts Centre.
Apart from the fact that the YMS Arts Centre’s music studio is equally as accessible & affordable as the Substation, what sets it apart is the fact that it is relatively soundproof, and also has a Yamaha upright piano in the studio for us to use (which to me is a huge plus point).
I paid a visit to the premises this morning to evaluate its suitability, and was shown around the centre by a very friendly & amiable lady. Overall, I am very impressed with what the YMS Arts Centre has to offer and I look forward to establishing a long term relationship with the centre.
So here are the details regarding our next meetup:
Date: (Fri) 26th Oct ‘07
Time: Session starts at 730pm (Room opens from 7pm onwards)
Venue: YMS Arts Centre, Studio One (2nd floor)
Equipment Provided: Yamaha upright piano, acoustic guitar, classical guitar, amp for broadcasting tracks from your iPod or laptop
Feel free to email me at songcraftcircle@gmail.com if you need more info.
See you all at the next session!
I’m looking forward to checking out the new place, Jeremy. Thanks for your effort. You’re da man!
[...] Well, I guess I’ll find out at the next Songcraft session. [...]
