Here are some of my own personal thoughts on last Saturday’s mini-concert, from my personal blog: “Impresario (Or Thoughts On The Songcraft Mini-Concert)”

I think one of the truly great things about the mini-concert is that there was something for everyone.
After speaking with a number of people in the audience after the mini-concert, I know for a fact that every songwriter who presented his/her songs last Saturday night had at least one ardent fan amongst the audience members. Which means every performer had written a song which someone liked.
And that’s the wonderful thing about songs, and music in general. Different songs appeal to different people. Some like Song A, others like Song B. And yet others would appreciate Song C. Whatsmore, the beauty of our group is that we have such a diverse range of musical styles and influences, which results in an exciting potpourri of songs whenever we decide to come together to present a mini-concert.
There was really something for everyone.
And I’d like to think that everyone went home from the mini-concert very pleased with the way things went. I certainly did.
I’m not sure if the mini-concert had inspired anyone in the audience to pick up a pen, or a guitar and start writing songs…but if so, then that would have been simply fantastic!

When will we stage our second Songcraft mini-concert?
Well, I have absolutely no clue. And I don’t really wanna think about it at the moment.
As for now, I just wanna enjoy all the wonderful memories of our very successful inaugural mini-concert, and I sincerely hope all those of you who attended it had enjoyed yourself as much as I did!
